A Learning Environment That Combines Communication Science and Humanities & Arts<\/strong><\/p>\n The most distinctive feature of our College of Liberal Arts lies in its integration of two major academic traditions: communication science and humanities & arts<\/strong>. This unique combination has fostered an academic foundation that blends the Western scientific spirit with Eastern philosophical thought<\/strong>. Under the university\u2019s “Three Transformations” policy\u2014globalization, informatization, and futurization<\/strong>\u2014our college has developed four key attributes: professionalism, culture, innovation, and communication<\/strong>, facilitating the convergence of Eastern and Western civilizations.<\/p>\n “Cultural and Creative Industries Credit Program” \u2013 A Cradle for Talent in the Cultural and Creative Industries<\/strong><\/p>\n The five-department structure<\/strong> of our college forms the core of the global Chinese-language cultural and creative industries<\/strong>, encompassing the accumulation, application, and reinvention of Chinese culture and creativity<\/strong>. Accordingly, our undergraduate Cultural and Creative Industries Credit Program<\/strong> covers fields such as humanities information, communication, and marketing<\/strong>, serving as both a cradle for talent development and a driving force for integrated creative teaching, academic research & development, and industry-academia collaboration<\/strong>. Moreover, it represents the college\u2019s commitment to social engagement through academia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n “Grand Cultural Tamsui” and Social Responsibility<\/strong><\/p>\n Our college has long been committed to preserving Tamsui\u2019s local culture<\/strong>. In addition to regularly organizing Tamsui studies seminars and compiling the Tamsui Gazetteer<\/strong>, we have also carried out the “Grand Cultural Tamsui: A Comprehensive Record”<\/strong> research project for consecutive years. This project involves data collection, archival research, and field investigations<\/strong>, culminating in written documentation and documentary films that digitally preserve Tamsui\u2019s humanities, arts, ecology, and traditional professions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Furthermore, our college actively participates in community service around the Greater Tamsui area<\/strong>. Through the project “Reviving History, Rejuvenating Alleys: Tamsui Old Street Regeneration Plan,”<\/strong> we have secured funding from the Ministry of Education\u2019s University Social Responsibility (USR) Program<\/strong>.
